A small 19th century mahogany longcase regulator with round silvered dial signed Thelwall London, subsidiary seconds dial with Observatory markings, blued steel hands.
Substantial five pillar movement with shouldered plates. Fine six spoke wheelwork and high count twelve leaf pinions, Harrison’s maintaining power, deadbeat escapement. Beat setting adjustment to the crutch, pendulum suspension block mounted on the backboard, wood rod pendulum.
The flame figured mahogany case of lovely colour and patina with canted corners to the break arch hood and trunk, flame veneered trunk door and figured base with a single plinth.
