Regency mahogany break arch top bracket clock, the elegant seven inch break arch silvered dial signed James Smith London with strike/silent dial in the arch, subsidiary calendar dial and blued steel hands.
The high quality eight day fusee movement signed on the backplate James Smith London, has an anchor escapement and strikes the hours on a bell with trip repeat function. The flame figured mahogany case has a single brass framed pad to the top with a brass carrying handle, brass fish scale frets to the sides, brass framed front door with brass corners and brass ball feet.
James Smith is listed as working in Jermyn Street London, Clockmaker to George III.
