American rosewood and brass bound two day marine chronometer. The four inch silvered and engraved dial signed H.H. Heinrich, New York, No. 609 with medallions in red for the Exposition Universelle 1889. Subsidiary up/down state of wind indicator and large seconds dial. Fine gold hands. The two day fusee movement with Earnshaw spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance with circular compensation weights and blued steel helical balance spring. The pillar plate signed Kline & Co. New York U.S.A. Brass gimbal and bowl. Tipsy winding key.

The three tier rosewood box with brass drop handles, mother of pearl disc to the front inscribed H.H. Heinrich, 102 Fulton St., New York with a diamond shape mother of pearl plaque below numbered 609.

H. H. Heinrich was a very fine chronometer maker, receiving awards for chronometers in Berne, Paris and Chicago. Records show Heinrich worked for Tiffany & Co., New York. The United States Naval Observatory purchased and tested a marine chronomter made by H.H. Heinrich in 1886.
